Camp FAQs
How do I register for a camp session?
U.S. Elite Camps accepts mailed checks or online credit card registrations. Please follow the 'Register Now' link from any of the camp webpages and you will be guided through the simple online process. A registration form must be completed for each child and camp session. A deposit is due at the time of registration to secure a place at camp, and full payment must be received 30 days prior of camp. If you prefer to receive a paper copy of the registration form, please email David Edry for more information. Please see 'Contact Page'.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
Please notify us as soon as possible in the event that you have to cancel a registration. A non-refundable processing fee of $200 will be retained if you have to cancel your reservation, and do so at least 30 days prior to the start of session. Within the 30 day period, the full payment may be retained. Regardless of the amount of notice given, in the event that we have a wait list, and can fill the spot your child would have taken at camp, you will receive a full refund. By registering your child for camp, you understand that there will be no refund of camp charges paid for the time reserved in the event of inclement weather, or dismissal due to misconduct.
What are your camp rules?
The biggies are:
No smoking, alcohol, vaping, or drugs
No weapons or violence
No hazing or bullying
No stealing or damaging of property
Breaking any of these rules will result in immediate withdrawal from camp program and arrangements will be made for the individual to leave camp at the parents expense.
Other behavior which will not be tolerated includes: Bad language or swearing Causing damage to our natural surroundings or harassing/harming wildlife Not being present at meetings and activities Leaving camp premises without permission Girls being in boy’s rooms and vice versa Inappropriate PDA or other physical contact.
In the event of a camper behaving in such a way that is deemed inappropriate, Camp Directors will contact parents. If the camper conducts themselves in a way that goes against the U.S. Elite Camp mission on three occasions, arrangements will be made for the individual to leave camp at the parents expense.
What happens if my child is sick or injured at camp?
By registering your child for camp, you certify that your child is covered by health and accident insurance and that you are obliged to provide the camp with the name of the carrier and policy number. In the event that a child feels sick or is injured while at camp, parents will receive a call from one of the camp directors. Depending on the situation, we have fully trained First Aid/CPR staff and first aid kits at all activities, local full service clinics, and transport available at all times for hospital visits. Counselors and the Camp Director are available to supervise back at camp for athletes who cannot join on-hill training.
Can my child arrive late, leave early, or go off camp at any time?
By registering your child for camp, you agree that in the event the application is accepted, and a place reserved for your child at U.S. Elite Camps, your child will remain in camp until the end of the session unless he/she is dismissed by the camp directors for misconduct or for cause considered sufficient by the camp directors. We must receive written notification ahead of time if your child is to leave camp with friends or relatives at any time during the session. If you wish your child to arrive late, or leave early from camp, please notify us as soon as possible. If you require your child to be transported to or from Denver Airport (for Copper Camp) or Portland Airport (for Mt. Hood camp) outside of regular pick up/drop-off windows, there is an additional fee of $150. Please note that, due to the distance from Denver, if you require your child to be transported to or from Denver Airport (for Copper camp) outside of regular pick up/drop-off windows, they will be required to take the Epic Mountain Express Shuttle at your expense.
What about loss or damage while at camp?
We provide every opportunity for, and recommend that, campers to hand in money and valuables for safekeeping. U.S. Elite Camps, Inc. assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property of athletes. Individuals who damage property may be billed for replacements/repairs.
Can you use photos of my child from camp?
By registering your child for camp, you agree that U.S. Elite Camps has your permission to use any photo or videotape of your son/daughter for publicity purposes, and that your child has permission to participate in all camp activities. No full names are ever released on social media. The camp diary can be accessed from the camp website, and photos are available free of charge. If you wish to have a particular photo removed from social media, just let us know!
