U.S. Elite Camps Day 8 Review
Today was our second day of slalom and it was our first day on full gates. It was very warm and by the second round of salt we had used 22 bags or 880 pounds. Another picket fence started the lane followed by this weird double stubbie course which allowed for different amounts of swing depending on the route you took. The coaches also added different challenges which required memorization of the stubbies. Then we moved on to tall poles and challenges were experienced by all. There was also a panel course which destroyed our already bruised forearms from GS and got very rutted out. Many slip runs were needed. After skiing we skipped rest hour and hiked to a beautiful waterfall. The hike was very fun and well worth the trip. Overall, the day was amazing looking forward to tomorrow
